This whole situation is disgusting. What makes me laugh with Jeff is the fact that he accused Kat of taking things out of context and then does the exact same thing with the phone call. They all need to be cancelled.

See, the reason I didn't want to believe Trisha to begin with was because she has lied and manipulated so many different situations in the past so I found it very hard to give her credit when she first came out about it all. The only thing I agreed with at the time was the gross Brandon thing because ew. Looking back, I really wish I would have believed her and unsubscribed from David right there and then but when all parties involved are quite manipulative its so hard to know what to believe. I so feel for Sarah and Hannah and I am heartbroken that the people they trusted put them in such a position. Deflecting all the blame on Dom is not it, like Trisha says - they're all complicit and deserve to be punished for their actions

I think the thing with David Dobrik and the Logan Paul is that when people started watching them (when they were at their height) everyone was young, children, teenagers, and since the vs would've been older, we looked up to them. Anything that they would do whether is was violent, offensive, racist, we would assume it was ok because they were the adults in the situation of viewer and vlogger. Now, all the old viewers have grown up and are realizing a lot of horrible stuff the vs normalized was NOT OK AT ALL!!! I think the reason this is all happening with youtubers now is that we're finally seeing the generation of young viewers grow up and have more educated views on topics that were being normalized to them. I remember watching David's vlogs years ago and seeing a lot of the videos in question, and even though I could tell a lot of the scenes gave me bad feelings (David laughing at other's physical pain, David viciously verbally attacking people under the guise of 'jokes', the way people WORSHIP him) but the way it was portrayed made you feel like it was all ok. To not think twice about it. It's also a big case of "pretty/white privilege", if David were anything other than an average looking white boy,,,, you can imagine

The two party law does not apply . The reason is as you stated the reporter lives in NY. Jeff lives in california, Jeff has the two party, New York does not, New York is and isnt a two party consent state. The law which was passed on august 21 2017 stipulates that all telemarketers and salespersons are required promptly to disclose of whether the call is being recorded. All other phone calls are under the one party consent. Jeff nor the reporter are selling any product or service to the other. The call was an interstate phone call. Because of that reason, both states law of one party or two party consent is void. It is then only a rule to be followed by federal law. Since DC is a one party consent, Jeff has broken no laws. If there ever was issue with this, a loophole regardless of one or two party consent, if both parties believe there is a reasonable expectation of privacy and in a two party state then consent by all parties must be given. Here is Jeff's loophole if there is doubt on intersate calls no longer are governed by the states and are now governed by federal with a one person consent, and the belief jeff has to follow his state law, that is also void. Jeff knows he is talking to a reporter. A reporter has to record every single conversation, it is part if their job, there is no "off the record" this then would mean that Jeff does not feel there is a reasonable expectation of privacy. Jeff then has every right to not require consent since he is talking to a reporter, and without a doubt she is recording the phone call without his consent, since she was in NY and probably knows the same laws i do. Jeff then can broadcast the convo without her consent as long as it was not with criminal or tortious intent (extortion, blackmail) as a journalist/ reporter recording comes with the job, they face no legal issues when they publish or release the recording to the public, freedom of the press and the freedom of information act is on her side, but because of that it is also on jeff's. So in the end of my long typing here, you can look up the federal law of one party consent and its precedence : Federal Law (18 U.S.C. § 2511) New York State Senate Bill S4361 is about the telemarketing consent. Now afterall this, why is no one questioning all the women. I feel like Jeff’s defense is just getting really technical with what happened. He hasn’t confirmed or denied taking them the alcohol, only buying it. And Trisha technically is the only one saying he bought it, the victims are saying he brought the alcohol to them. I may have misunderstood some of what was said, but this line of reasoning is what makes sense coming from him. Like at some point he’ll probably directly say, “I didn’t buy the alcohol, I just brought it to them” as his defense to say that Trisha is lying. But to me that doesn’t matter, he still played in active role in supplying minors with alcohol. I don’t know if what I said makes any sense but I feel like he’s just going to be like “Well TECHNICALLY I didn’t buy it for the girls”. Which, yes, technically he may or may not have done that, but like I said, he still was in the wrong by 1) not stopping it and/or 2) physically taking them the alcohol.
